Doctors

Paul Conway

MBCHB, DRCOG, MRCGP (LIVERPOOL 1990)

Dr Conway is Senior Partner, being the longest serving active Partner here. His interests include respiratory medicine, prescribing  and undergraduate teaching.

He is also Clinical Lead in Quality & performance, Mental health and Urgent care for the ICB (Knowsley place) and a GP Appraiser for NHS England NW.

Adit Jain

MBChB, DRCOG, DFFP, FRCGP (LIVERPOOL 2001 Hons)

Dr Jain has been a Partner here since 2006. His interests include postgraduate GP Education, coaching GPs, Prescribing and Cardiovascular Medicine. He has been an approved GP Trainer since 2009, and is a GP Appraiser for NHS England NW. He is the practice Prescribing Lead.

He is also Training Programme Director & Primary Care Medical Educator for NHS England NW (St Helens & Knowsley).

Kirsty Poole

MBChB, MRCGP, DFFP (2001)

Dr Poole is a Partner. Her interests include medical student education. Dr Poole has been a GP Trainer since 2022.

Rachel Russell

MBChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, PGCert (Clinical Practice, Management & Education)

Dr Russell is a Partner. Her interests include women’s health, menopause and palliative care. Dr Russell is the practice safeguarding lead. She is lead for Year 4 medical students.

She is also Clinical Lead for Women, Children and Young People for the ICB (Knowsley place) 

Breige Loughran

MBChB, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP (2006)

Dr Loughran has been a GP with the practice since April 2010. Her interests include women’s health and teaching. She has been a GP Trainer since 2019

Mala Dhorajiwala

MRCGP, DRCOG

Dr Dhorajiwala is a salaried GP. She has a special interest in women’s health.

Mengxia Sun

MRCGP, MBChB, DRCOG, PGDip (Dermatology)

Dr Sun is a salaried GP, she joined the practice in 2019 and completed her last year of training here. Dr Sun is a GP with a specialist interest in dermatology.

 

Nurses

Our Practice Nurses are available Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 6.00pm by appointment for:

  • Chronic Disease Management Clinics

  • Blood Pressure Monitoring

  • Dietary Advice

  • Well person checks

  • Cervical Smear

  • Family planning

  • Immunisation Travel and health advice
     

Assistant Practitioners (APs) 

Kath Kirk

The AP is available Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 6.00pm by appointment for:

  • Blood Pressure Monitoring

  • Dietary Advice

  • NHS Health Checks

  • New Patient Medicals

  • Pneumococcal Vaccination

  • B12 injection

  • Warfarin Clinics

  • Diabetic monitoring
     

Administrative Staff

Practice Manager – Joe-Anne Moore

The Practice Manager is responsible for the day to day general management and smooth running of the practice. Joe-Anne ensures that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, patient safety, premises, equipment and information technology.

Joe-Anne is supported by Gaynor, Operational Manager and our Team Leaders.
 

Administration and Reception Staff

Our receptionists, secretaries and admin staff will be able to help with queries or problems. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescription and dealing with prescription enquiries. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously and our staff also have the right to be treated courteously by you. We can offer privacy if your enquiry is sensitive.


GP Registrars (Resident Doctors)

Dinas Lane Medical Centre became a GP Training Practice in 2009 when Dr Jain became a GP Trainer. We have GP Registrars who are based in the practice for 6-12 months. This helps them gain valuable experience within the practice in a supported way before they complete their GP training, with many going on to work locally. They are an asset to the practice, with Drs Sun, Russell, Greene and Ajayi all being former trainees of Dr Jain. He is the lead GP Trainer, and Dr Loughran and Dr Poole are qualified Trainers also, who supervise our Registrars. We are very grateful to our patients for providing educational opportunities for the Registrars to enhance their learning and refine their skills before becoming GPs in their own right.


Medical Students

We are linked with the University of Liverpool and have Year 3 and Year 4 medical students attached to the practice throughout the year. This is usually their first experience with general practice and learn through observing consultations, taking histories and examining patients under doctor supervision. You may be asked if you are happy to see a student doctor whilst they are on placement. We are very grateful to our patients for providing educational opportunities for the students to enhance their learning and refine their skills before becoming doctors.
